About

I live in Cambridge, Maryland, a little town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where Gloria Richardson was the mother of the civil rights movement.  While she is very well-known here, she has been largely left out of the national narrative of the movement.  I wanted to have a shirt that featured her so that I could spark conversation and educate folks about her.  That’s when the idea of Revolutionary Souls was born.

My purpose is to honor those that have fought for the way of life we now enjoy, those that are currently using their voices to push boundaries, break through ceilings, and speak for those who are not heard.  My mission is to teach about the many contributions that we African-Americans have made to the American culture and to inspire the next generation of change agents.

I’m so excited you decided to check us out.  I hope you’ll help me educate the world, one shirt at a time.
